Valuation and Due Diligence Exercise
AMS Associates were appointed by George Wimpey UK Ltd. to prepare a valuation
of the above closed quarry which they were purchasing in order to redevelop
Inverkeithing Bay with the construction of a large residential settlement.
As part of the due diligence exercise all historical information had to
be sourced together with geotechnical and contamination reports from which
to calculate a value.
To increase the built platform rock will require to be extracted and this
included looking at the quality and markets plus ensuring the access to
the quarry was still acceptable in both planning and environmental terms.
The result from the valuation prepared, is that Wimpey purchased the quarry
and land to proceed with their regeneration project.
